ABB FormulaE Berlin ePrix 2025 - R12
Pascal Wehrlein (TAG Heuer Porsche) was fastest, followed by Edo Mortara (Mahindra) and Nick Cassidy (Jaguar TCS).
Current driver standings leader Oliver Rowland (Nissan) finished fourth.

Two interesting notes:
- The increased performance of the GEN3 EVO resulted in lap times under a minute for all drivers (Wehrlein’s time was 0:57:784 vs last year‘s time 1:02:289 more than 4.5 seconds faster)
- The gap between the top 18 drivers is less than 1 second (00:943), a sign of the significant leveling of performance on this track.
Today, Saturday, July 12th, bad weather caused the cancellation of the second free practice session, seriously jeopardizing qualifying (the forecast is bleak). Fortunately, qualifying took place, but with a modified format. There will be no usual duels between the top four drivers from the two groups, but a grid will be created based on the times achieved by individual drivers in the two 12-minute qualifying sessions.
In all of this, the accident caused by Pascal Wehrlein yesterday which involved his teammate Antonio Felix Da Costa, will still result in a 3-place grid penalty (and 1 point in the standings), which would effectively nullify the “best timelap” awarded based on Friday’s times.
As always, there’s no shortage of excitement and twists and turns, and there will be throughout the weekend!
